If so, consider joining the IT001-310 study, a clinical trial investigating a new antibiotic. It is specially designed to remain in the body for a longer period of time and has activity against bacteria resistant to other antibiotics commonly used to treat UTI.
What is the IT001-310 study? The IT001-310 clinical research study is for adult women experiencing a UTI. The goal of the study is to compare the effectiveness of the study medication to amoxicillin/clavulanate in women with an active UTI.
Who can join the IT001-310 study?
Study participants may be able to join the study if they meet the following requirements*:
• Female 18 years of age or older

• Experiencing UTI symptoms, including:
• Frequent/urgent urination • Painful or burning urination
• Pain above the pubic region
• Symptoms that have lasted between 1-4 days
• Have not taken antibiotics for a UTI within the past week
*Other study requirements will apply and participation in the IT001-310 study lasts about 1 month.

Compensation up to $475.
The study medication is designed to help women with UTIs by targeting bacteria that have become resistant to available antibiotics.

• 50% chance of receiving the study medication
• If you do not receive the study medication, you will receive an approved antibacterial medication instead

What is a UTI? A UTI is a common, usually mild infection that is treated with antibiotics. Some bacteria that cause UTIs have recently become resistant to the antibiotics that are being used to treat the infection. Less effective medications increase the risk of a UTI becoming more serious.
